reimagine learning

Reflect, Restructure, Reimagine Learning

What will the new school year look like when we return from summer holidays?
Back to normal, new normal or will we create a better normal of hybrid learning?
How will educational technology (EdTech) support this better normal of hybrid learning?

These are among the questions we will tackle in our very first online global event. Keynote addresses, case studies, blended learning, flipped classrooms, itslearning tips, practical demos and much more.

Speakers

Hear from our panel of experts, teachers and the itslearning team on approaches for shaping education in the coming year.

Prof. Sugata Mitra
Keynote Speaker

Prof. Sugata Mitra

'If we focus on the future rather than the past, we can design a hybrid system, partly physical, partly virtual, with assessments that are focused towards the ability to create things and solve problems. Whatever option we choose, there is a rather rare opportunity to design an education system that is suitable for our times.'

Prof. Sugata Mitra’s current work is on the Internet and learning. He retired from his position as Professor of Educational Technology at Newcastle University, UK in 2019.

In 1999, he conducted the Hole in the Wall experiment. A computer was embedded within a wall in an Indian slum and children were allowed to freely use it. The experiment aimed at proving that children could be taught how to use computers very easily without much formal training, and has since been repeated around the world.

Guest Speaker

Natasha Devon

'Having a stress response to a global pandemic and feeling low in lockdown are normal reactions to difficult circumstances.'

Natasha Devon MBE is a mental health activist and has co-authored many books including 'Fundamentals: A Guide for Parents, Teachers and Carers on Mental Health and Self-Esteem'.  She conducts research on mental health, body image, gender and social equality.
